The planet is actively rejecting our notion of human exceptionalism. We can’t have " world peace’’ while excluding all of the other species with whom we share the planet. Our very lives depend on this.

Other animals also have rich and ancient cultures. We need to protect more than species. Otherwise, our ‘conservation efforts’ will leave us with fragmented shells of who these animals, and what their cultures, once were. 

Is conversing with dolphins the holy grail of interspecies communication?  If so, dolphins are gateway species who can deepen our respect for all other beings.
